Servus!

I’m a freelance software developer based in Munich, Germany. Currently, most of my time is spent working with clients in the health and fitness industry to build mobile companion applications for their bluetooth-capable devices —medical or otherwise.

Before pivoting to Apple platforms, I wrote embedded software for a company specializing in novel gas sensing technologies.

Let’s talk if you need any of the following:

  • Audit your mobile application for UX flaws and how they might be mitigated
  • Thoroughly test your mobile application by hitting edge cases that might not arise during your normal QA process
  • Consultation to make the right technology decisions early on. Most limitations will only be apparent after a significant amount of work has already been done.
  • Connect your devices to a mobile application via Bluetooth. Creating a robust, extensible and forward-thinking communication protocol between device and smartphone.

I believe a shared understanding of each other’s principles and values is paramount for working together successfully. The most important ones I adhere to are:

  • Honesty: Expect me to tell the truth, even where it might be inconvenient. If I have doubts or concerns about a certain approach, I will say so. If I’m not knowledgable enough to perform a certain task, I’ll say so, too. I’m not an LLM is basically what I’m saying.
  • Pragmatism: Though I’m excited by new technology I’ve also grown more careful to incorporate it in shipping products over the last decade. I’m not married to a certain technology stack and will use what I deem to be the best tool for the job.
  • Rigor: Rather than patching up symptoms of a malfunctioning system, I try to identify and fix the root cause. (Of course, a patch is often necessary while getting at the root.)
  • Responsibility: I aim to be helpful beyond my obligations.
